Virginia’s House of Hope recognizes many music programs have been eliminated as a result of budget cuts within the New York City school system. The arts are at the very foundation of the cultural experience of life in New York City and we, at Virginia’s House of Hope, believe we have a social responsibility to grow the next generation of musicians and keep music as a cornerstone of youth education within New York City and beyond.
To aid in this mission, Virginia’s House of Hope has extended itself in creating the Partners of Hope Conservatory. The Conservatory program donates a variety of instruments to local public schools to either inaugurate new youth music programs, in addition to providing opportunities for students to develop an appreciation for music by exposing students to different genres of music. We also enlist professional musicians and music teachers to donate their time to develop the talents of our program participants.
Partners of Hope Conservatory has a long-term vision of not only reinvigorating public school music programs, but also creating a fully funded consortium, along with other donors for the extension of our program amongst all of our targeted partner schools. Our goal is to encourage students to be their very best and expand their talents by preparing for recitals and concerts alongside Partners of Hope Conservatory Musicians who volunteer their time.
Partners of Hope Conservatory program has a long term vision to not only reinvigorate pubic school music programs, but also create a fully funded consortium between all of our partner schools. Once this vision is realized, our goal will be to encourage students to truly appreciate music and improve their talents by preparing for recitals and concerts with their fellow POH students. Our after school program is an important service because we provide students a safe place to learn and experience the dynamic world of music. By providing the funding for instructors, we also help supplement the costs of the programs, and while keeping the bonds formed in the school day classroom.
Our program is more than just musical outreach, as we provide students a safe place within their communities to learn and experience the dynamic world of music. We hope you will join us in our belief and quest to develop the next generation of musicians, and welcome donations of musical instruments and accessories, professional instruction and performance tickets. It is quintessential our youth see and experience those who have come before who have blazed musical trails.

Our ultimate goal:
We believe that music programs can make a difference in children's lives, which is what Virginia's House of Hope aspires to do. The positive benefits of music are not just limited to musical ability, but to brain function, reading capabilities, self-esteem and more.
